The Telangana Intermediate Board has said that junior colleges will resume from June 1 for the academic year 2024-2025 in Telangana state.
Education Board Secretary has released provisional annual academic calendar regarding working days and holidays and examinations related to public sector junior colleges as well as aided and private colleges.
In this academic year, from June 2024 to March 2025, there will be 227 working days out of 302 days, 75 days for holidays, and according to the 48th board meeting, junior colleges should work for 220 days.
This calendar is suggested to be followed by the principals of all Junior Colleges (General and Vocational Courses), while the calendar for the academic year 2023-2024 mentions summer vacation from March 31 (Sunday) to May 31.
All private on-aided junior college owners have made it clear that the junior colleges should be closed as part of the summer vacations not considering this matter, Sundays should also be considered as public holidays and the government would take serious action against any transgressions in this regard.
It has been clarified that the new students should be admitted in the colleges only after the admission schedule of the colleges is released.
