Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has released the schedule for admissions in classes 1 to 11 for the academic year 2024-25 in Kendriya Vidyalayas across the country, Online registration will start from April 1 for Class I admissions. Students can apply till 5 pm on April 15.
The age of children seeking admission in class I should be 6 years by March 31, 2024, age limit will be applicable for other classes also as per rules, Allotment of seats to the applied students will be based on entrance test, reservation etc, First class admissions will be done through online and other classes through offline mode.
If there are more applications than the number of seats, the selection will be done by lottery, but for admissions in class 9, an admission test will be conducted. This exam will carry 100 marks. There are questions from Hindi, English, Maths, Science and Social Studies. 20 questions will be asked from each subject. The duration of the exam is 3 hours
The first provisional list will be released on April 19, depending on the availability of seats, the second provisional list will be released on April 29 and the third provisional list will be released on May 8. The second and third lists will be announced to fill the vacant seats and the first class admissions process will be completed
In order to fill up the vacant seats in the 2nd class and above classes (except 11th class) in Central Vidyalayas, registrations have to be done from 8 am on April 1st to 4 pm on 10th April. The list of those selected for the second class will be announced on April 15.
Also, June 29 has been fixed as the last date for admissions in all other classes except class 11. KV students have to complete the registration for Class 11 admissions within ten days after declaration of Class 10 results.
The shortlist will be announced within 20 days. After the selection of KV students, non-KV students will be given an opportunity. KVS has made it clear that if wrong information is given during the application, the seat will be allotted.
