Karnataka State Open School (KSOS) was established as an autonomous institution under the National Education Policy by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, KSOS offers academic courses at secondary and senior secondary level, it also offers elementary level courses through its Open Basic Education Programs (OBE).
Karnataka State Open School provides foundation education, students who complete foundation course appear for 10th class exams, pre-university education, vocational education etc. Candidates who pass six subjects Govt allowed them to join pre-university education, This course is designed for those who have passed Class X or equivalent examination from a recognized board and wish to continue their education in Senior Secondary Certification equivalent to 12th Class standard.
