How to Link Aadhaar with PAN Card

How to Link PAN Card with Aadhaar Card

  1. You can link your PAN with Aadhaar (if not already done) through the following process
  2. Visit the Income Tax e-filing portal https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in.
  3. Select ‘Link Adhaar‘ on the left side of Home Page.
  4. Enter your PAN card number.
  5. Enter your Aadhaar card number.
  6. Login by entering date of birth.
  7. A pop up window will appear, asking you to link your PAN with Aadhaar.
  8. Go to ‘Profile Settings’ in the menu bar and click on ‘Link Aadhaar’.
  9. Verify the PAN details on the screen with those mentioned in your Aadhaar.
  10. If there is a mismatch in your PAN card or Aadhaar card details, you need to update either of the documents.
  11. If your PAN card or Aadhaar card details match, enter your Aadhaar number and click on the “Link Now” button.
  12. A pop-up message will inform you that your PAN card or Aadhaar card has been linked successfully.

How to Check PAN with Aadhar Link Status

  1. Visit the official website of Income Tax e-Filling Portal https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal.
  2. Click on ‘Link Aadhaar Status‘ on the homepage in the left side menu
  3. Now enter the PAN Card and Aadhaar Card number in the new page
  4. Click on View Aadhaar Link Status View Status
  5. If PAN and Aadhaar are linked then Al Ready PAN card will show link
  6. If PAN and Aadhaar are not linked, a message will pop up stating that PAN and Aadhaar are not linked.
