The AP Common Entrance Test, also known as AP EdCET-2024, is scheduled to take place for admission into regular B.Ed. and B.Ed.Spl. (H.I, V.I, and I.D) courses. The academic year for the course is 2024-2025, Eligible candidates may submit their applications online only. The notification for “AP Education Common Entrance Test 2024” was released on March 11th, 2024. AP EDCET 2024 serves as an entrance examination for admission into the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) course in all university and private colleges in Andhra Pradesh.

Andhra University will be conducting the AP EDCET 2024, which is most likely to be responsible for the Andhra Pradesh Ed.CET 2024, Once the schedule is released, the examination will be held as a computer-based test on a state-level basis, Students who are interested in pursuing a 2-year BED regular course can apply for this examination.

AP EdCET Eligibility Criteria

1. (i) The Candidates should be Indian Nationals, (ii) The Candidates should satisfy Local/Non-Local status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order 1974 as subsequently amended.
2. Candidates should have passed / appearing for final year examinations of B.A./B.Sc./B.Sc. (Home Science)/B.Com./ B.C.A./B.B.M./BE/B.Tech at the time of submitting the Application for AP EdCET-2024. Candidates are required to produce marks memo and pass certificate at the time of admission.
3. Candidates should have secured a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA either in the Bachelor’s Degree i.e., B.A./B.Sc./B.Sc. (Home Science)/B.Com./B.C.A./B.B.M and or in the Post- Graduate Degree in relevant subject or 5 years integrated course in the relevant subject of methodology or any other qualification equivalent thereto. However the candidates belonging to all other reserved categories S.C, S.T, B.C.(A/B/C/D/E), and physically handicapped should have secured a minimum of 40% marks or equivalent CGPA in the qualifying examination.

AP EdCET Methodology Eligibility

Mathematics – Candidates with B.A/B.Sc. with Mathematics as one of the group subjects or
B.C.A. candidate’s with Mathematics at intermediate level as a group subject or B.E./B.Tech. with
Mathematics &Physics.

Physical Sciences – Candidates with B.Sc. who have studied Physics and Chemistry or Allied
Material Sciences (See Annexure-I) under Part-II group subjects or B.C.A. Candidates with Physical Sciences (Physics and Chemistry) at intermediate level as group subjects.

Biological Sciences – Candidates with B.Sc./B.Sc.(Home Science) who have studied Botany and
Zoology or Allied Life Sciences (See Annexure-II) under Part-II group subjectsor B.C.A. candidates with Biological Sciences at intermediate level as group subjects.

Social Studies – All candidates with B.A./B.Com./B.B.M. or B.C.A. candidates with Social
Sciences at intermediate level as group subjects.

English – Candidates with B.A Special English or M.A. English.

How to Fill AP EdCET 2024 Online Application Form

To apply for AP EdCET Students need to follow these steps:

1. Go to the official website of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education, which is apedcet.nic.in.
2. Click on the “AP EdCET 2024” link located at the top of the homepage.
3. Navigate to the menu bar and select “Information Brochure/Notification” to read all the details.
4. After reading the entire information, click on the “Online Application” link.
5. If you have already completed the registration process for AP EdCET, you can apply directly.
6. If you are a new user, you need to register first to get the user ID or password.
7. Once you receive your provisional user ID or password, login to the portal and fill out the AP EdCET 2024 Application form with all the required details.
8. Upload digital copies of all the required documents, passport-size photographs, and signature (if required) within the given time period.
9. Finally, take a printout of your AP EdCET Application Form and keep it safe for future reference.
